Terms of Service

Who we are

Materra Care ("we", "us") operates a directory and practice-management platform for trauma-informed professionals serving families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. By using the platform you agree to these terms.

Not a medical or emergency service

Materra Care is a directory. We do not provide medical, psychological, legal, or emergency care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911. Always consult a qualified professional for medical or therapeutic decisions.

Provider listings

Providers apply, agree to our trauma-informed standards, and are reviewed by our team. Verification is based on the information providers submit; it does not constitute an endorsement of any individual session or recommendation. Families are responsible for vetting providers for their specific needs.

Provider responsibilities

Providers agree to deliver care in line with the Materra Care professional standards: respectful, non-pathologizing language; respect for all loss experiences including TFMR; protection of family confidentiality; and no use of grief for exploitative marketing. Violations may result in removal.

Memberships and payment

Paid provider memberships are billed monthly through Square. You may change tier or cancel at any time from your billing settings. Founding-tier pricing is honored for the life of an uninterrupted subscription.

Acceptable use

  • No spam, harassment, hate speech, or exploitation of bereaved families.
  • No misrepresentation of credentials or services.
  • No automated scraping of provider data.

Termination

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Materra Care is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from interactions with providers.
