Held with care

Privacy Policy

Our promise

Materra Care exists to connect bereaved families with vetted, trauma-informed professionals. We treat every piece of information you share with us — your name, your loss, your story — as sacred. We do not sell your data. Ever.

What we collect

  • Account information — name, email, password (encrypted), and (for providers) professional credentials.
  • Application information — for providers, the details you submit in your application: training, specialties, philosophy, references.
  • Inquiry & messaging content — messages you send to providers or our team.
  • Usage data — basic analytics (pages viewed, device type) to improve the experience. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
  • Payment information — for paid memberships, payment is processed by Square. We never see or store full card numbers.

How we use it

  • To run the directory and connect families with the right provider.
  • To verify provider credentials and uphold trust & safety.
  • To send service-related email (confirmations, application status, account changes).
  • To improve the platform.

We will never use your loss story for marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the small number of vendors required to run the platform — our hosting and database providers (Lovable Cloud), our payment processor (Square), and our email delivery provider. These vendors are bound by strict data-protection terms. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@materracare.com. Deletion of your account is permanent.

Children

Materra Care is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
